Coke Ad
Photoshop; November 13, 2015
The goal was to create an ad using a “larger than life” look.
Say Cheese
Cheese, Photoshop; October 30, 2015
This is a 3D type ad made out of cheese for Canon. This is just for a class project, but it was really fun to put together. The cheese was actually a lot more challenging to work with than I expected.
Banana Republic Fall
Adobe Illustrator; October 26, 2015
For my design class, we had to create a poster design as if Banana Republic was going to hang it in the store to help set the mood for their shoppers. Halfway through the project, our professor gave us a change order, asking us to make a digital display, as opposed to print, with at least 3 sequential images. I like my designs more as a series of images. It makes it a bit easier to tell a story and allows for more playfulness.
Gramophone
Adobe Illustrator; October 29, 2015
I finally have illustrator on my computer! To celebrate this new freedom, I have made this gramophone based on one I saw a while back.
In total, this took me 8 hours to complete.
Rise Up
Photoshop; October 15, 2015
Using photos from an article about the Special Olympics that took place earlier this year, I made a composite to be used in a documentary about this event. The title, “Rise Up,” comes from the official ad campaign for the World Games I had seen around town this past summer. I made the 3D letters in Illustrator and then brought them into Photoshop to apply the texture and additional shading.
This is my Gig
Adobe Illustrator; October 6, 2015
I started with a sketch and then recreated the sketch in illustrator. I’m a big fan of the Scandinavian art style, especially the rosemåling used in that style. So I decided to just play around try my hand at it. I also played a little bit with texture. What I’ve done here is take a light spotted texture, image trace it, use blur effect on it, and lower the opacity. I find the look very interesting, but I definitely want to continue to play with and practice using texture.
Gonna Get There
Pen and paper, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Color; October 1, 2015
I made this sketch a while back ago just for fun, then the other day I decided to bring it into illustrator to play with it a bit. I used the Adobe Color app to make a color scheme based on a picture I had taken. I’ve really enjoyed using the app while designing.
1 Corinthians 13:2
Pen and paper, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop; October 1, 2015
First, I took the picture of Half Dome at Yosemite this past summer. Then today, I looked up the verse and hand lettered it in my sketch book. After, I took a picture of the sketch and brought it into Photoshop where I adjusted the lighting and contrast so that the image trace tool in Illustrator would be able to do an accurate job. After coloring the letters using a color palette taken from the picture of Half Dome, I put them on the picture where I wanted and adjusted their placement a bit. Lastly, in Photoshop, I layered a picture with out the text on top of the one with it and masked out the parts of the letters that were overlapping the rock.

Here is a sample of some of the picture I took at the photo shoot this week.
Tartar Pride Poster
Adobe Illustrator; August 31, 2015
My high school alma mater asked me to design a new poster for them to use during their centennial celebration. After a few previous drafts and some feedback from the committee, this is what will be printed and placed in all of the classrooms at the school.
Volleyball Ad
Adobe Illustrator; August 25, 2015
I made a dedication page for my cousin.
Stars Shining
Hand Lettered & Adobe Illustrator; August 19, 2015.
This is some hand lettering I did for fun and decided to make into a lock screen for my phone. These are lyrics from “Dream A Little Dream.”
Carne
Adobe Illustrator; August 17, 2015
A friend needed some artwork for a lesson series around Christmas time. He gave me the title, “Carne,” and gave me a general idea of what he was looking for. (Font: Agency)
